I’ve been meditating for about 8-10 years now, and my practice has evolved and changed in so many manners I can’t even begin to explain. Until quite recently to be honest, I just realized that meditating is actually just being with what is. So simple. For all these years I was trying to search for a ‘meditation’ that could fit in MY idea of what ‘meditation’ is. Well, that was a huge fail, haha! Only now I see that what we look for shouldn’t be answers, but more questions. Meditation for me has meant having to sit down with my jumping crazy mind, and just be there. Yes, my leg itches or my knee hurts, and I move if I need to. And instead of judging myself for it because it isn’t a ‘perfect meditation’ i realize that just being there every day is the point. Nothing else. Just being. And by learning to sit with myself, I learn to have my place in the world. •••
How do you feel about your meditation practice? Do you have one? Would you like to?
